Barnsley College

Barnsley College offers a range of Higher Education courses, from degrees to HNC/Ds, and Higher and Degree Apprenticeships to professional courses.

Everything we do puts our students first and our mission is to give them the skills and support they need to go on the achieve great things. Our courses are structured to maximise students’ development and give them the knowledge they need to progress to further study or a job in the industry they choose. Many of our courses also include work placements so our students gain real-life industry experience and have a CV to be proud of when they graduate.

DN Colleges Group

As the largest college provider of higher education in Doncaster, our provision includes Foundation Degrees, HNDs, Degrees, MAs, professional courses, and higher level and Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships. Courses are either validated by one of our university partners or awarded by Pearson, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). From business and management, education, engineering and technology to the arts and creative media, social sciences and sports, our courses are led by highly experienced staff, working closely with external partners and organisations to ensure high quality programmes and a rich student experience.

RNN Group

In autumn 2018, the RNN Group opened a new £10.5million University Centre (UCR) in Rotherham town centre on Doncaster Gate, near our Rotherham College Town Centre Campus. UCR offers state-of-the-art facilities and a wide variety of degree courses accredited by top universities and awarding bodies, including Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Hull, with plans for over 50 courses to be running at UCR.

17.4% of the population in Rotherham and Bassetlaw have a Level 4 qualification or higher, compared to the national percentage of 27.4%. University Centre Rotherham will play a vital role in closing this gap, increasing access to higher level skills.

We have been working closely with 200 of the over 1,000 employers we have links with to develop courses that particularly meet a need for the local economy and input into the planning of essential initiatives such as work experience placements and guest lectures.

At Chesterfield College, we offer a variety of courses including Foundation Degrees, HNC/HNDs/HNs, professional courses, full honours degrees and more.

Through our partnerships with the University of Derby, Sheffield Hallam University and Pearson, you can be sure that the qualifications we offer are accredited by a nationally-recognised university or professional awarding body.

We also work in partnership with many different employers and industry experts to keep our courses relevant and up-to-date, so our students leave us equipped with the skills and knowledge to help you stand out from the crowd in a competitive job market.

In 2017 we were awarded a ‘Confidence’ rating by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), the highest possible rating by the UK’s body responsible for quality in Higher Education.
