Students and staff at colleges across the South Yorkshire Colleges Partnership are showcasing their skills in support of a national campaign.
Colleges Week 2024 celebrates the positive impact that colleges have on their local communities and economies.
Colleges Week is taking place from 26th February to 1st March 2024 and is led by the Association of Colleges.
Member organisations of the South Yorkshire Colleges Partnership are running a range of local activities in support of the campaign.
These activities include raising awareness of what colleges do in their local communities, sharing student successes and highlighting upcoming open days.
Some colleges are also inviting MPs and other community leaders onto campus for question and answer sessions with students and to see technical skills in action.
Jason Austin, Chair of South Yorkshire Colleges Partnership and Chief Executive Officer and Principal of RNN Group, said: βColleges strengthen communities and support economies by enabling employers to get the skills they need for growth.
βItβs great to see education and training providers in our region supporting Colleges Week in various ways and showcasing how colleges transform lives.β
